Bitta Commission brings its work into one Business Central role center, with tiles for finance, operations, participants and managers, and a set of reports with print and Excel layouts. Every number on a tile is defined in the Commission Metric Catalog, so you can see exactly how it was calculated. This page describes the role center, the reports, multi-company consolidation and the read-only APIs.
Before you start
- To use the role center, choose the Bitta Commission Manager profile in My Settings, or have an administrator assign it. The profile opens the Bitta Commission role center.
- The tiles and reports respect permission sets and commission user scopes. A user sees only the participants in their scope, and finance tiles need finance-wide access. See Roles and permissions.
- Navigation for switched-off modules is hidden. For example, Commission Disputes appears only when the Disputes module is on. See Turn features on as you grow.
The Bitta Commission role center
The role center combines these parts:
| Part | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Bitta Commission Overview | An introduction to the workspace, the core workflow and its control boundary. |
| Commission Finance | Balances: company-wide Eligible, Payable, Held and Recoverable amounts in local currency. Accounting: Accrued Liability Amount, Deferred Asset Amount and Amortized Amount. Reconciliation: the number of reconciliations with unresolved exceptions. Shortcuts to settlements and payroll exports. |
| Commission Operations | Processing: running and failed calculation runs, open exceptions, quarantined staging rows and failed exports. Approvals: overdue approval assignments, SLA breaches and open disputes. |
| Commission Notifications | Your pending in-product notifications. |
| My Commission | Your own figures, if a participant is linked to your user (see below). |
| My Team Commission | Figures for the participants in your manager scope. |
Choose a tile to drill down to the records behind it.
Navigation groups
The role center menu groups the app's pages:

My Commission and My Team Commission
My Commission is also a page of its own, reachable through Tell Me, for users who do not use the role center.
| Tile | Metric |
|---|---|
| Attainment Percent | Accumulated attainment against the quota targets effective today (PART_ATTAIN_PCT). |
| Earning Amount | Commission earned year to date (PART_EARN_YTD). |
| Eligible, Payable, Paid, Held Amount | Your current positions (PART_POS_ELIGIBLE, PART_POS_PAYABLE, PART_POS_PAID, PART_POS_HELD). |
| Open Dispute Count | Your disputes still open (PART_OPEN_DISPUTES). |
| Next Milestone Date | The end date of the next open commission period (PART_NEXT_MILESTONE). |
| Statement Status Code | The status of your most recent statement. |
My Team Commission shows Scoped Participant Count, Average Attainment Percent, team Earning Amount year to date, Pending Approval Count, Open Dispute Count and Exception Count.
Refresh Status Code tells you whether the snapshot was refreshed successfully. NO_PARTICIPANT means no participant is linked to your user. LOW-QUALITY means too few scoped participants have a measurable target for the average to be representative. See My Commission for sales reps.
The metric catalog
Commission Metric Catalog defines every governed number: code, version, name, formula text, status, role, source ledger, grain, population, time window, aggregation, currency treatment, freshness, minimum quality percent and unit. The formula, population rules, exclusion rules and whole definition each have a SHA-256 hash, so a report or export can prove which definition it used. A material change creates a new version. Refresh Catalog seeds missing definitions and versions changed ones.
Reports
| Report | What it shows | Layouts |
|---|---|---|
| Commission Plan Effectiveness | Earnings and payout ratio per plan version, component and period, for a business date range and plan filter. | Print, Excel |
| Commission Period Comparison | Two periods side by side per participant: earnings, entry counts and attainment. | Print, Excel |
| Commission Audit Report | Audit entries with actions, targets and before and after hashes. | Print, Excel |
| Commission Exception Report | Open exceptions plus derived findings: negative balances, stale holds (older than Stale Hold Days), large changes (at or above Large Change Threshold), blocked settlement lines, overdue disputes and failed exports. | Print, Excel |
| Commission Statement, Manager Commission Statement | Printed participant and manager statements. | |
| Commission Remittance Advice | Settlement lines, holds, payments and running balance per participant. | Print, Excel |
| Commission Plan Document | The plan document of a plan version. | Word |
| Compare Commission Plan Versions | Differences between two plan versions. | |
| Commission Cost Disclosure (ASC 340-40 / IFRS 15) | Capitalized commission cost, amortization and remaining asset figures. It is listed on the role center when the Deferred commission accounting module is on. |
Commission Plan Effectiveness and Commission Period Comparison include only the participants in the user's scope. The four analysis reports above (plan effectiveness, period comparison, audit and exception) write a row to Commission Export Evidence each time they run, with the requester, row count, control amount and hashes of the filters, scope and content.
NOTE
The cost disclosure report presents figures that the app has recorded. Whether they meet ASC 340-40, IFRS 15 or another standard is a decision for your finance owner and auditors.
Multi-company consolidation
Commission Multi-Company Consolidation shows earnings and bucket movements per company and calendar month across every company you can read.
- Open Commission Multi-Company Consolidation.
- Set From Date and To Date, or choose This Year or Previous Year.
- Choose Recalculate.
Each row shows the company, whether it is the current one, the month (or TOTAL), the company's local currency, the earned amount, the net movement into the Eligible, Payable, Held and Settled buckets, and the number of earning entries. Amounts are not converted between currencies. Every build records export evidence; choose Export Evidence to see it. See Multi-company and copying configuration.
Read-only APIs
For external reporting tools, the app publishes read-only Business Central API pages (publisher bittaApps, group commission, version v1.0) for participants, plans and plan versions, earnings, balances, settlements and settlement lines, statements, disputes, posting proposals and proposal lines, and accounting entries. They apply the user's participant scope, and most of them record their reads in the export evidence.
