Release notes

Version history of Bitta Commission: the Release 1.1 feature list and the contents of Core 1.0.

status: verified applies-to: 1.1.2.0rev: 1

This page lists the released versions of Bitta Commission and what each one contains. For a guided tour of the latest changes, see What's new in 1.1.

Release 1.1.2

Release 1.1.2 is a normal upgrade from 1.1.1 and keeps all data.

  • Accounting policy editor. Create accounting policies from Commission Accounting Policies: choose recognition, expense and liability timing and closed-period behaviour, then validate and activate. Only combinations the engine supports are offered, capitalize-and-amortize policies need the Deferred commission accounting module, and changes to an active policy are made as a new version.
  • Retire or replace an approval policy. Retire an active policy with an end date and reason, or activate a later version as its replacement; the old version ends the day before. Requests already submitted finish under the version that routed them.

Release 1.1.1

Release 1.1.1 completes Release 1.1 for day-to-day use. It is a normal upgrade from 1.1 and keeps all data.

  • My Earnings for sales reps. Participants open their own earnings, tier details and calculation trace, read-only, from My Commission. They never see another participant's rows.
  • Commission Hierarchy Editor. Build reporting lines with effective dates, change a member's manager from a date and end a line, with cycle, overlap and closed-period checks. Manager overrides and rollups use the edited lines.
  • Allocate Team Target. Split a team target across members with the allocation methods the engine supports, preview the split, then allocate.
  • Multi-stage approval policies. Build policies with ordered stages (named user, queue, manager of the requester, role, hierarchy level and more), amount thresholds, escalation and delegation, then validate and activate.
  • AI module switch. Every AI capability, including Explain This Earning and the dispute assistant, follows the AI plan drafting module switch.
  • Simpler Feature Management. The subscription includes every module, so the license tier column is gone, and switched-off modules are also removed from Tell Me search.

Release 1.1

Release 1.1 targets Business Central 28 (runtime 17) and later. Upgrading from 1.0 keeps all existing data, and the upgrade switches on every module the company already uses. See Install and upgrade.

Platform

  • Feature modules managed in Commission Feature Management: the always-on core plus Quotas and targets, Advanced commission models, Cash-based eligibility and holds, Disputes, Advanced approvals, Multi-currency, Deferred commission accounting, Simulation and forecasting, and AI plan drafting. Switched-off modules are hidden from navigation and Tell Me search.
  • If a switched-off module page is opened from a saved link, its actions are refused with BAA-FEATURE-OFF.

  • Set Up Bitta Commission with eight plan styles and a "what each salesperson would have earned last month" preview.
  • Commission Setup Imports for Excel templates, with validation findings before anything is applied.
  • Prepare Company Defaults, Suggest from Chart of Accounts, next-step guidance, copying a plan to the next year, industry templates, and Copy Configuration to Company.
