What counts as an active salesperson
An active salesperson (active payee) is a participant you have activated for live commission calculation. The license counts activated participants, not Business Central users. These people do not count:
- processors, approvers, finance users and auditors who work in the app but earn no commission;
- participants you have not activated yet, or have deactivated;
- demo participants in a demo or sandbox company.
The count is the highest number of active participants during the month. If you need more salespeople, add them to your subscription and Bitta Apps updates your license.
What your license controls
The license that Bitta Apps issues records the limits the app enforces:
| Limit | Shown on Bitta Commission Setup as | What happens at the limit |
|---|---|---|
| Active salespeople | Payee Limit | Activating another participant is refused, and output is refused while the company is over the limit. |
| Companies | Company Limit | The license is not accepted in an additional company. |
A trial allows at most five active participants. When a license lapses, your data stays in Business Central and historical records remain readable. See License lifecycle for the full rules.
Implementation help
You can set up Bitta Commission yourself with the guided setup and this wiki. If you want help with plan design, data migration or a multi-company rollout, contact Bitta Apps for a scoped quote.
What Bitta Commission does not replace
- Your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central licenses and environments, which you obtain from Microsoft or your Microsoft partner.
- Your payroll or payment services. Bitta Commission produces payroll-ready export files and Payables documents inside Business Central. It does not connect to a payroll provider.
Evaluate before you buy
You can try the app with demo data in a sandbox or a CRONUS company before you start a production trial. See Try it with demo data.
