Pay only the first units or sales
Limit a SPIFF to each salesperson's first units or first sales.
updated: applies-to: 2.0.0.0
Limit a component to each salesperson's first units or first sales, for example a SPIFF that pays on the first 100 units of a new product.
Set the limit
On the component, enter Pay First (the number) and choose Pay First Of: Units or Sales.
A SPIFF limited to each salesperson's first 15 units.
- Units are the commission quantity of an amount per unit (for example cases), or otherwise the base quantity. The line that crosses the limit is paid in proportion. Later lines earn 0.00 with the reason Limit Reached.
- Sales are invoices that earned on the component.
- The limit is per salesperson: each salesperson gets their own first units or sales.
- Linked credit memos give units back.
Example
A component pays 2.00 per unit on the first 15 units.
| Invoice | Units | Paid |
|---|---|---|
| First | 10 | 20.00 |
| Second | 10 | 10.00 (5 units left) |
| Third | 4 | 0.00, Limit Reached |
