Consignment Setup

Numbering

Field What it does Default
Document Nos. The general number series for consignment documents. A document type whose own series below is blank uses it CONS-DOC after the assisted setup
Posted Document Nos. The general number series for posted consignment documents. A document type whose own posted series below is blank uses it CONS-POST after the assisted setup

Each document type has its own number series and posted number series, as base Business Central has for sales and purchase documents. A new document takes the series of its type; when it is posted, the posted document takes the posted series of its type. Leave a type's series blank to use the general series above. If neither is filled in, creating or posting the document stops with an error that names the field and opens Consignment Setup.
