Purpose
Test every profile capability through the real register, its direct server boundary, and the record/output that proves the enabled path.
Role
Administrator prepares paired profiles; cashier executes UI paths; supervisor verifies restricted paths.
Prerequisites
One Store/Terminal, an enabled profile and paired disabled profile, valid prerequisite data, and a clean scenario evidence ledger.
Enable / Configure
Set one capability true in the enabled profile and false in the disabled profile while holding company Setup, Store, Terminal, permissions, and data constant. Refresh/reassign before the next basket; never rewrite an existing basket snapshot.
Steps
- Record profile/setup state and start a fresh basket.
- Enabled: use the visible control and capture its exact POS/BC/accounting record.
- Disabled: prove the control is absent, not merely disabled.
- Invoke the same direct server boundary and prove the direct server call rejects it.
- Clean up the scenario and record evidence, tester, date, and Pass/Fail.
Expected Result
Enabled operations create the documented record/output. Disabled operations create none. Effective Register Setup explains the result without exposing private configuration or secrets.
When Disabled
For every row below, the control is absent, the direct server call rejects the action, and no success record is created. Company policy, permission, readiness, and device safety remain stronger than the profile.
Records / Accounting
Evidence names the exact Sale, Sale Line, Payment Line, Shift, Cash Movement, Print Queue, EFT, Settlement, BC document, Customer Ledger, Item Ledger, VAT/Tax, and G/L records applicable to that scenario. Zero accounting impact must be stated explicitly.
Recovery
Restore the original assignment and settings, close or cancel only test baskets, reconcile EFT, reverse posted test documents through BC, and retain the evidence ledger.
Test IDs
Stable IDs never change meaning. New cases receive new IDs; they do not recycle retired IDs.

Task 9 captures final enabled/disabled evidence from one tagged package and matching demo data. Do not publish placeholders as customer instructions. Each capture includes scenario ID, profile/Setup state, safe record IDs, tester/date, and Pass/Fail.
Kitchen profile test: with Kitchen Printing enabled and a Send to Kitchen method, verify Legacy, Inherit, Add, and Replace items; Label Only and Ticket Only routes; terminal/store/company precedence; frozen retry; and current-configuration reprint. Priority must not act as failover.
