FieldView Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy applies to the FieldView Chrome extension published by Bitta Apps LLC. Visiting this website is covered separately by the Bitta Apps website privacy policy.

Local storage and collection

FieldView has no account system, analytics, advertising, or backend. Bitta Apps does not receive captured content or usage data through the extension.

Sessions, notes, URLs, field context, screenshots, clips, and drafts are stored locally in the extension database. The rolling recording buffer stays in memory until saved. Destination credentials are kept separately in local Chrome extension storage and are excluded from exports and backup folders.

Permissions and sensitive content

You grant site access. FieldView uses it to identify the page and field you interact with and to draw its overlay. Password and recognized secret field values are replaced with [hidden]. Automatic screenshot masking is enabled by default. Sensitive content not recognized as a secret may remain visible. Videos record raw tab content and are not automatically redacted. Audio and microphone access are optional choices when starting a recording.

Exports, backups, and sharing

Data leaves extension storage when you export, copy, create an email draft, connect a backup folder, or file selected findings to your configured tracker. An enabled automatic ZIP backup is saved locally on review finish. Connected folders may be synced by software you selected. Clipboard content can be read by other software with clipboard access. Sending a draft remains an action in your email application.

Connected trackers

Filing sends selected findings and media directly to your Azure DevOps, Jira, or Monday destination. That provider's privacy and retention policies apply. FieldView does not proxy these requests through Bitta Apps. Enabled Jira compatibility may remove the extension Origin header only for the configured Jira attachment endpoint.

Deletion and your controls

You can delete notes and sessions, revoke site access, and clear destination credentials. Uninstalling FieldView, clearing browser data, or deleting a browser profile can remove the database. Exported files and backups remain under your control and must be deleted separately.
